V0.16 — Hero cleanup
  • 🧹Hero — badge & mascot removed — the "Local · Private · Free" pill badge and the robot mascot have been removed from the hero. The subtitle already communicates the privacy message; the badge was redundant.
  • 🐛Badge-dot fix — applyTranslations() was overwriting innerHTML on the badge element, silently removing the animated green dot. The dot HTML is now included in the i18n value so it survives the injection.

V0.15 — Text Encryptor, homepage redesign & mobile fix
  • 🔐New — Text Encryptor — encrypt and decrypt any text with a passphrase using AES-256-GCM. Key derivation via PBKDF2 (100 000 iterations, SHA-256, random 16-byte salt). Output is a Base64 string containing salt + IV + ciphertext. Copy or download as .txt. 100% local via Web Crypto API.
  • 🗂️Homepage — progressive disclosure — each category now shows 8 tools by default with a "+ N more" expand button. Reduces initial page length without hiding any tool. New tools appear first in their section.
  • 🔝New tools pinned first — Image Colorizer, Face Blur and OCR are now the first 3 cards in the Images section. Text to Speech leads Text Tools. IP Info leads Engineering & Dev. Text Encryptor leads Security.
  • 📛"New" badge mobile fix — on screens ≤ 600px the badge was positioned absolute top-left, overlapping the tool icon. It now appears top-right on mobile so it never conflicts with the icon.
  • 🔢Tool count updated to 60.
  • 🖼️Background Remover — Quality tier upgraded — replaced ISNet fp32 with RMBG-1.4 (BRIA AI, ~170 MB) via Transformers.js. Sharper edges on hair, fur and complex scenes.
  • 🏆Background Remover — Excellent tier upgraded — now uses BEN2-ONNX (~219 MB, MIT), a model purpose-built for browser WASM via the native background-removal pipeline (Transformers.js v3). Better detail on fine edges and complex scenes.
  • 🏷️Background Remover — UI — "Recommended" badge added to Quality tier. Warning shown when selecting Excellent about the ~219 MB first-run download.
  • 🔧Background Remover — Fast tier worker fix — explicit publicPath to staticimgly.com fixes 404 on @imgly WASM worker in strict CSP environments.
  • 🔒Sync — 401 fix — sync.js now checks JWT expiry before any Supabase call. Expired tokens no longer trigger console errors.
  • 🛡️CSP — staticimgly.com added to connect-src in vercel.json, required by the @imgly background removal library.
  • 📊Comparison grids — visual side-by-side comparison added to AI Upscaler, Background Remover and the Why VeritySuite? page. Each competitor card shows quality and pricing tags. Click any image to enlarge it in a lightbox.

V0.14 — 2 new tools, bug fixes & SEO improvements
  • 🔊New — Text to Speech — convert any text to spoken audio using your browser's built-in voices. Voice selector, speed and pitch controls, play/pause/stop. 100% local via Web Speech API.
  • 🌐New — IP Info — displays your public IP address, country, city, region, timezone, ISP and coordinates instantly. Copy individual fields or all data at once.
  • 🧭Breadcrumb 404 fixed — all 56 tool pages had href="../" instead of href="../../" in breadcrumb links. Clicking "Home" or a category now navigates correctly instead of landing on a 404.
  • 🏆Top Tools links fixed — tool links in pages/top.html were resolving to /pages/tools/… instead of /tools/…. All 57 tool links now navigate correctly.
  • 🖼️PNG favicon added — Google does not support SVG favicons in search results. assets/icon.png (512×512) is now declared on all pages so Google can display the logo next to search results.
  • 🏢Organization schema added — @type: Organization with logo added to homepage JSON-LD. Required for Google Knowledge Panel logo display.
  • 🔗Homepage OG tags completed — added missing og:title, og:description, og:url, og:type and <link rel="canonical"> to index.html. Social share previews now display correctly.
  • ✏️Compare page — false claims removed — "Works offline" and "Works offline after first load" removed from the comparison table and privacy section. The site requires an internet connection to load.

V0.13 — Full SEO overhaul: canonical tags, FAQ rich snippets & related tools
  • 🔗Canonical tags + Open Graph — added <link rel="canonical">, og:title, og:description, og:url and og:image to all 62 pages. Eliminates URL ambiguity for Google's indexer.
  • ❓FAQ sections + FAQPage JSON-LD — 4 rich Q&A items added to all 57 tool pages. Enables Google FAQ rich snippets (accordion answers directly in search results).
  • 🧭BreadcrumbList JSON-LD — structured breadcrumb schema added to all 57 tools. Displays VeritySuite › Images › Image Compressor in Google SERPs.
  • 🔁Related Tools section — 4 contextual tool links added at the bottom of every tool page. Improves internal linking structure and keeps visitors on the site.
  • 📋WebApplication JSON-LD — schema.org WebApplication structured data added to all 57 tool pages with name, URL, description, price:0 and feature list.
  • 📖"How it works" enriched — 25 tool pages had thin or missing explanations. All replaced with detailed 4-step sections covering use cases and technical details.
  • 🗺️Sitemap updated — <lastmod>2026-03-22</lastmod> added to all 68 sitemap entries. Helps Google prioritize recrawl of recently updated pages.
  • 🧷Breadcrumb links fixed — all internal breadcrumb href values updated from index.html to clean extensionless URLs, eliminating unnecessary redirect chains.
  • 🖼️Favicon + robots meta — <link rel="icon"> and <meta name="robots" content="index, follow"> added to all 64 pages that were missing them.
  • ☁️Cloud sync — favorites, likes & history — when logged in, your favorites, liked tools and browsing history are now synced to your Supabase account. Switching browsers or devices? Everything is restored automatically on login. Union merge for favorites/likes (never removes), deduplication by URL for history (limit 50).
  • 🆚"Why VeritySuite?" page redesigned — compare.html fully rewritten: new two-column hero with animated SVG illustration, stats strip (57 tools / 0 uploads / 0 ads / ∞ uses), fixed dark mode colors, updated tool count. Cleaner section layout with horizontal dividers.

  • 🔤New — OCR Image to Text : extract text from any image using Tesseract.js v5. 9 languages supported (Auto, EN, FR, DE, ES, IT, PT, JA, ZH). Copy or download as .txt. 100% local.
  • 🫥New — Face Blur : automatic face detection via MediaPipe BlazeFace. 3 styles: gaussian blur, pixelate, or black box. Intensity slider. Before/after comparison slider. 100% local.
  • 🎨New — Image Colorizer : colorize black & white photos using a luminance-based color mapping algorithm. 2 modes: Artistic (warm vintage palette) and Realistic (natural muted tones). Instant, no download needed.
  • 🔬AI Image Upscaler — 2× mode : new scale toggle (2× / 4×) in the options bar. The ×4 neural network runs as usual, then the output is downscaled by half — smaller file size, same AI-enhanced sharpness.
  • 🏆Background Remover — Excellent tier : added RMBG-1.4 (BRIA AI) as a third quality option. Best accuracy on complex scenes, fine hair and transparent edges. ~170 MB, 100% local via Transformers.js.
  • 📊Vercel Analytics : anonymous visitor and page view tracking enabled across all pages — no cookies, GDPR-compliant.

V0.11 — Batch transforms, ZIP fix & SEO
  • 🔄Image Rotate — batch mode : new Apply to: All images / Current only toggle. Apply rotation and flip to all loaded images at once, or tweak each image individually. Each image stores its own independent transform.
  • 📦ZIP download fixed on Image Rotate, Image Compressor, Image Converter and EXIF Viewer — JSZip was blocked by the Content Security Policy, now loaded from the correct CDN.
  • 🪟Logo Windows fix — "SUITE" was overlapping "VÉRITY" on Windows due to font metric differences. Both logos now use a single <tspan> so the browser measures width correctly on every OS.
  • 🔍SEO — missing <meta name="description"> added to all tool pages (BMI Calculator, Date Difference, Percentage Calculator, VAT Calculator). Full coverage across all 54 tools.
  • 🔢Tool count updated to 54.
